Having personally experienced the wonders of the Philippines after living there over a year (spanning through multiple visits), I came to realize that it is an incredible country. From its white sand beaches and magnificent waterfalls to its world-class scuba diving, the Philippines offers a plethora of attractions.

However, there is an even more compelling reason why so many foreign expats flock to this beautiful nation every year – the opportunity to date a beautiful Filipina woman.

Filipinas have managed to captivate the hearts of foreign men from all corners of the globe for a multitude of reasons. In this comprehensive blog post, we will delve deep into the irresistible appeal of Filipinas, exploring seven key traits that make them highly desirable partners for countless individuals.

1) Exotic Beauty and Tanned Skin:

On my first trip to the Philippines in 2019, the exotic beauty of Filipinas was the first thing that caught my eye. My favorite pastime became visiting the Ayala Shopping Mall in Cebu City, grabbing a coffee at Bo’s Coffee, and sitting back and watching the beautiful Filipinas stroll by.

Filipinas are often known for their petite body types, which pairs well with their kind hearted nature. While every woman is different, most Filipinas are slender and shorter than Western women, which creates an allure of femininity that makes them irresistibly appealing and attractive. Many also have sexy, smooth, and tan skin, which is called “morena” in the Philippines.

2) Kind, Caring, and Nurturing:

Beyond their physical appearance, Filipinas are known for their warm and nurturing personalities. Therefore, there may be no better country in the world to find a relationship that is based on traditional gender roles. They are raised in a culture that values respect, kindness, and hospitality, making them some of the most genuine and caring partners one can find.

I’ll never forget one Filipina girlfriend that I dated in a monogamous relationship. As I was watching TV she disappeared into the other room for awhile, only for me to find her doing my laundry. Also, don’t be surprised when your Filipina girlfriend cooks for you, cleans the house, and does the laundry – without you having to ask for it. More evidence of the Filipinas kind and caring nature is the fact that the Philippines is the largest exporter of nurses in the world.

3) Most Filipinas Speak English:

Communication is crucial in any relationship, and international relationships are notorious for having to work around language barriers. However, Filipinas excel in this aspect. English is widely spoken and understood in the Philippines, making it easier for foreigners to connect with and build meaningful relationships with Filipinas.

In addition to labor costs being cheaper, English proficiency is one of the main reasons why so many large companies have outsourced their customer service call centers to the Philippines.

Having spent significant time in many countries, the English proficiency is a breath of fresh air when visiting the Philippines. When compared to many other countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and even Colombia, where English is not widely spoken, communication was much more difficult for me.

4) Good Attitudes and Joyful Spirits:

In my experience dating different women in the Philippines, I found it remarkable just how thoughtful they can be, especially in relation to birthdays, holidays, and Christmas. In the shopping malls, Christmas music starts playing in September, signifying their Catholic culture and love for the holidays.

One of my favorite things about Filipino people is how they can be seemingly happy with very little material possessions. Coming from the United States, where materialism can be very common, Filipinas have a contagious sense of joy for life and optimism that radiates from within. Many find joy in simple pleasures and are genuine in their expressions of happiness.

Although they are capable of becoming materialistic, just like any human being could be, they often don’t have any experience owning fancy, high-priced possessions. Instead, they find their joy in being around their family, having a bed to sleep in, and food in their stomach. In fact, the best way to a Filipina’s heart is through her stomach – feed her.

5) A Strong Sense of Family Values:

One of the common phrases in the Philippines is “It’s all about family”, and they back that up with action, not just words. Filipino culture places a strong emphasis on family values, and Filipinas carry this trait with pride. They prioritize their families and have a deep sense of loyalty and commitment towards them.

The Philippines has a pseudo-retirement system that is the opposite of typical Western countries like the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. When children of Filipino parents reach the appropriate age, they join the work force and send money back home to their parents so that they can retire. 401k’s and pension plans are very rare in the Philippines, so the young working adults provide that buffer for their family.

6) Loyalty and Commitment:

Filipinas are known for their loyalty and commitment towards their partners. Once they commit to a relationship, they invest their time, effort, and emotions wholeheartedly. Of course, this depends on whether you have properly screened your Filipina before committing to a relationship with her.

Infidelity is generally frowned upon in a Catholic culture like the Philippines, and Filipinas generally try to adhere to these values, making them reliable and trustworthy partners. Their unwavering loyalty creates a strong foundation for a lasting and secure relationship. On the contrary, in my experience, some Filipinas can be possessive and jealous, so make sure to build solid mutual trust with them.

7) Hardworking and Resourceful:

Filipinas have a strong work ethic and are known for their hustle and determination. They are resourceful and creative in finding solutions to challenges, both in their personal lives and careers.

When I was looking for a girlfriend in Cebu City, Philippines, one of the toughest challenges was dating any Filipina that was currently employed. The reason behind it was because of just how demanding their jobs were. With a typical 6-days a week work schedule filled with lots of overtime hours, it was difficult to get them out on a date. Other Filipinas that I tried to date often worked the night shift at call centers in order to be compatible with United States time. This made it difficult to schedule dates with them.
