As modern connectivity has bridged the gap between countries, more Western men are casting their nets wider in search of a spouse. In addition, many more Western men are able to travel via opportunities as digital nomads or retirees than ever before. Because of this, combined with high divorce rates in the United States and other Western countries, finding a spouse overseas is becoming very lucrative for many men such as myself.
Not long ago, many of these exotic beauties located around the world were simply unreachable via the internet. But times have changed, and lots of people have access to some form of computer technology or mobile phones. Notably, I am surprised at how the continent of Africa has really made it’s presence known on international dating websites. On InternationalCupid.com, for example, my inbox is filled with beauties from a variety of African countries.
Now, let’s get into this list that is based off my traveling and dating experiences abroad and talking to numerous expat buddies who have successfully found love across borders.

#5 – Kenya

One of the mistakes that Western men make is assuming that women in Africa are similar to African American women in the United States. This couldn’t be farther from truth. And although we must realize that each woman should be viewed individually, my buddy Wayne strongly emphasizes how kind, sweet, and caring the women in Kenya are.
You might be surprised that Kenya is on this list over many other common countries like Thailand, for example. I realize that many men may have never considered a relationship with an African woman, which actually makes it a hidden gem. Moreover, Kenyans generally have a great command of English, ensuring communication isn’t a barrier to a strong, loving relationship.
With my experiences on international online dating, my mailbox gets tons of messages from beautiful Kenyan women, signifying their strong interest in finding a foreign boyfriend. Many of the women appear to be well-educated and open to mixed-culture relationships, making them ideal companions for Western men who value intellect and character.

#4 – Mexico

Next is Mexico, a land where passion and vibrant cultures merge. Mexican women are renowned for being family-oriented, their fun-loving spirit, and their amazing culinary skills.
My mother was married to a Mexican man before an unfortunate divorce, and a subsequent marriage to my father. She would always tell me how much she admired Mexican women and her hopes that I would one day marry one. She appreciated the family-environment that they embrace, where often times three or more generations live under one household. For example: the grandparents, parents, and children all play their roles in a given household.
Many Mexican women adore the idea of finding a Western boyfriend and living in the United States. Due to the proximity of the US and Mexico, realize that the cultural transition could be rather seamless for them because of the abundance of Mexican-Americans living in the US. Traveling costs back-and-forth would also be a lot easier than other countries on this list.
Mexican women thrive within a structure that celebrates extended family, which means the partner you find in Mexico will likely value togetherness and kinship—qualities conducive to a healthy, fulfilling marriage. The compatibility of values between Mexican women and Western men is often high, enabling you to have a strong, durable connection…and a full stomach of delicious Mexican food.

#3 – Colombia

Climbing to the third spot is Colombia, a country synonymous with the sheer vibrance of Latin American culture. Colombian women are famous for their zest for life, warmth, and beauty. In fact, I think that Colombian women are pound-for-pound the most beautiful women on the planet.
Some men that I know have had bad experiences with Colombian women, but it is usually involved in pursuing “working” women (short-term relationships). Keep in mind that you don’t want to purchase a car from the junkyard. If you filter properly, like I did, you can meet incredibly good Colombian women. Quality Colombian women will take the time to get to know you before jumping into bed.
The longest relationship of my life was with a Colombian woman that I met in Medellin. We went on four dates before she would even consider visiting my apartment. This is a great example of how traditional Colombian women are. As our connection grew, I really appreciated her nurturing qualities. She took good care of me by cooking delicious meals and helping with chores like laundry and dishes. Unfortunately, due to long-distance challenges, things broke off but we remain friends.

One thing is for sure, you won’t get bored dating a Colombian woman. They are so much fun to be with. If you turn on some music, they can’t control themselves and will start singing and dancing.

#2 – Vietnam

Vietnam, with its rich history and rapidly evolving society, is at number two. Surprisingly, after spending three months in the country I felt zero animosity from the tragic Vietnam-American war that took place in the 1950s-70s. In fact, I met many American veterans from the war that were living in Vietnam and had Vietnamese spouses.
What makes Vietnamese women unique is their conservativeness, along with their sweet and kind personalities. Vietnamese women are not as interested in meeting foreign boyfriends as other Southeast Asian countries and they prefer to take their time with the courting process. Therefore, if you put in a little effort and patience, you will likely score a wonderful woman that has a very low body count and one that will take very good care of you in return.
However, the biggest drawback is the language barrier. Most women did not speak English and Vietnamese is a very tough language for foreigners to learn. It’s much harder to learn than Spanish and other languages in the Romance language family. If you can overcome the language barrier and be patient with their traditional values, Vietnamese women are the ideal prototype for those seeking a lifelong companionship.

#1 – The Philippines

Essentially, being a foreigner in the Philippines is like being a rockstar. I’ll never forget my first trip to Cebu City, Philippines when I visited Ayala Center Cebu mall and was asked to take pictures with the local people. Some people even asked if my name was Brad Pitt. Since then I have dated several beautiful women from Cebu, and have spent over a year of my life in the country.

Filipino women have a deep-rooted sense of hospitality, respect for family, and have a good handle of the English language. And as an American I feel very welcomed and safe in the country, thanks to the long-standing alliance between the Philippines and the USA. Because of these reasons, the Philippines is an ideal country for Western men looking to find a bride.
Inwardly, Filipino women are endearing, nurturing, sweet, and have a genuine interest in taking good care of their husband. Of course, make sure you pick the right one because it isn’t uncommon for scammers and gold-diggers to hide in disguise. This cultural compatibility, coupled with their strong sense of fidelity and nurturing nature, makes Filipino women wonderful candidates for a loving and lasting marriage. Also, age-gap relationships are generally acceptable in their culture as long as the parents give their approval.
